For parents

Several hundred schools have already entered the Chess Knight competition – it’s worth ensuring that your child’s school enters now. If you are interested in sponsoring your child’s school’s entry (60-70 Euro per 10 people), please contact the school. You can receive an invoice in your name or made out to a specified company.
Below is a sample email that you can send to the school management:

Dear Headteacher,

Dear Headteacher,

We would be most grateful if you could consider the possibility of your school taking part in the upcoming chess competition ‘Konik Szachowy’ (Chess Problem-Solving Competition), which will take place on 19 November 2026. As part of the competition, pupils will have the opportunity to tackle a variety of chess problems, which is an excellent opportunity to develop their strategic thinking, concentration and healthy competitive spirit.

Initiatives of this kind are extremely valuable, as chess significantly contributes to the development of logical thinking and problem-solving skills, which in turn has a positive impact on pupils’ academic performance and intellectual development.

We would like our children to have the opportunity to participate in this competition, and therefore we encourage the school to consider registering for this event. Registration is open until November 6, 2026, and the reduced entry fee is available until October 30, 2026.

Further details about the competition can be found on the website:

Thank you in advance for your time, and we look forward to a positive response to our request.
Yours sincerely, [Parents’ names]
